Well, the answer to my question comes from different areas or perspectives in my life but I will address the business part of it. Every single day is a learning opportunity, I take my life lessons as a sign and opportunity to be better and do better. Early Life My story begins in my early teenage life. I grew up in a very competitive environment and I strive to always be at the top, academically, socially, and sports too. Through this I got a passion to be the best or try my best to be the best. Along the way, my father started up building our house from the bottom with the help of both my father's and mother’s finances. They were able to pull it up, from the drawing of the house outline to buying the materials to employees to building the foundation, and up it was up. Most of the job was done, but there was a challenge. Both my parents lost their jobs and we had a young one on the way, my baby sister. I felt bad for them and wished, what if we just bought a house? we would not have been stuck in an unfinished house. This is where my passion for real estate comes in. I want to be part of bringing people, families, couples to a house of their choice where together they can make a home. A home to raise their young ones, invite friends , host family members during special occasions and during trouble times too. Making Dreams Come Alive I want to be part of bringing people together in harmony and in love with their ideal apartment, Ideal home area, and ideal environment to raise kids and stay. Dennis Otieno

My name is Dennis Oduor Otieno, born and raised in Makueni. I started my preparatory school at a nearby school in Wote town. This became my start of social life though I really didn't know how to talk well since I was still a kid. I joined Unoa primary school where I studied nursery school upto class five. At this point I began noticing happenings around me.. During my learning in Unoa primary school I got to understand the importance of good leadership skills while I was a class perfect in classes three and four consecutively. At my young age I experienced a different set of people which is what is in real life. There are good people and others who are not good. I choose never to say there are bad people since the 'goodness and badness' we see in people is always relative depending on who is on the receiving end. I later transferred to a boarding primary school and joined Kanga High School after doing my KCPE in 2013. One common thing I learnt from the above schools is reliance on yourself (independence). Whatever you want in life you have to get it yourself and not just rely on others. I joined the Kenya scout association and went camping several times. As a scout, our motto was ' be ready' and this meant you should always be ready whenever duty calls. The motto also applies outside my school life and being ready for anything is always at the back of my mind. While at school, I played both volleyball and football for my school at different competition levels, however, I loved volleyball more and still play it though not often. I won several awards at the school competitions and received one certification. One major key character I learnt and adopted was to be persistent and consistent in my goals. That's all it takes to be different from a lot of people and to be able to achieve your goals and improve on your passion or talent. Ever since I was a kid, I had a passion for music. This led to me participating in both national music and drama festivals while in highschool two times. I received certifications for participation in both events. I pursue music as a hobby and am passionate about it. As a music enthusiast, I believe it really sets a mood in almost everything; starting from our national anthem to things such as advertising. Back when I was a kid, most of the TV commercials that I remember are because of the music in it and this would make me want to buy the product advertising. Music to me means creativity and requires time to build something great. I joined campus to pursue a bachelor of Real Estate in the University of Nairobi where I am currently. Richard Masika(LLOYD MASIKA) is one of the real estate gurus we have in Kenya; born and raised in Makueni too just like me. He was my inspiration to pursue real estate as a course and career in my life. Studying on campus hasn't been all about academics only, it entails more practical experiences rather than the books. My main areas of interest are valuation, real estate agency and property management which I'm looking forward to enhancing my knowledge and gaining practical experience in.

Chaka Tsuma

I am a hardworking third year student taking Bachelor of real estate in the University of Nairobi, always striving to achieve the best results of any given assignment at any situation. I have always been adempted in assessing and understanding the different assignments a real estate agent will come across and the different kind of customers they handle. My internship objective is to always uphold integrity and deliver both personally and as part of a team by applying what I already have learnt from school about my field and what I will be trained during the two-day training in your company. My three main areas of interest that am looking forward to learn in the two-month internship program are property valuation, property management and real estate property consultancy and development and I am also hopefully I will be able to get to know the market strategies of the selected areas in the following geographical areas; parklands, ngara, kilimani, kileleshwa, spring valley, Kabete and Kwale. Academically, I am an average student and I scored B+ in my Kenya Certificate of Secondary School, 2017. My high school life was characterized with the following positions and responsibilities; • class prefect (1&2) • Dorm captain (3&4) • wildlife club chairman • soccer team assistant captain Other than participating in soccer, I also represented my school in music festivals, science congress, mathematics and language contest. I also received several awards including best mathematics student in form one, best soccer player (form 1&3) and various certificates for music festivals. I attended my primary school at Kwale Tumaini Academy Boarding School. Some of the memorable events in my primary school include being named as the cleanest student of the year 2013, best mathematics student as from class 5 to class 8, led my house soccer team in winning interhouse soccer tournament, 2013. Other than school work I have also made memorable events from daily interaction with the society including the following; I became familiar with computer packages through helping a friend in carrying out his cyber activities, joined a charity work association, participating in my local soccer team among others. I spend my free times skating, playing soccer, swimming, reading journals or playing video games. That’s all about me, thank you.

Stanley Mwendwa

My name is Stanley Mwendwa, I am a third year student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Real Estate at the University of Nairobi. I believe Iam a motivated person who is always striving to achieve. In my free time, i like to read books. I would say books have helped me to be introduced to new ideas and ways of thinking and they have increased my knowledge of things i once only half understood. I think books have made me more open to different points of view and more understanding of people. I am also an academic writer. I started out during the during the initial phase of Covid 19 period when schools were closed to keep myself busy as i was mostly idle and be able to earn some income on my side. Basically, it involved writing essays for different clients. Working in this field has taught me customer relations as the job entailed dealing with mostly difficult clients. I can also say i am adaptable, I currently reside in Dagoretti. Although the area is well developed, there is an increasing need for rentals due to the fast growing population. I want to use the skills i will gain from your company to help ensure this problem of housing availability is solved. The areas I would like to specialize in under real estate would be valuation, property management and property consultancy and development. The geographical areas i have my eye on about conducting real estate activities include Embakasi, Ngara, and Kileleshwa within Nairobi and areas like Syokimau, Kitengela, Juja and Kangundo road within the Nairobi Metropolitan. I believe these are some of the places that have experienced a boom in the real estate business over the recent years. To conclude, i believe my ambition to succeed to get me to where i want is undisputable. Working with your company will help me to learn and be prepared for this new coming aspect of my life.
